    POSITION: Embedded Engineer

    FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Full time

    LOCATION: Irvine, CA

    SCHEDULE: Full Time 40hrs

    PAY RANGE: 0 – 200,000k DOE

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • The Role of Embedded Engineer will help drive the architecture and development of the cuffless blood pressure device. They will work cross-functionally with the hardware, Algorithm, mobile, and cloud team to ensure that the product requirements are being met while adhering to safety and quality standards needed for an FDA regulated device.
    • Work with the software team members in an agile environment and help drive the firmware architecture and implementation
    • Work with the Software Architect and program management team on creating accurate software project schedules
    • Provide architectural guidance, evaluating new technologies, and defining best practices
    • Collaborate with other design disciplines including mobile, cloud, electrical, and mechanical engineering
    • Support the software development team with translating high level software requirements into detailed software requirements, supporting the documented software architecture
    • Participate in code and design reviews to verify that the documented architecture is implemented according to plan

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4+ years of experience with embedded software development in regulated industry (preferably working under IEC 62304 for medical device software development)
    • 4+ years of experience with embedded C development using RTOS and baremetal
    • Experience with MCU peripherals such SPI, UART, I2C, ADC, DAC, Timers, and DMA
    • Knowledgeable with digital and analog electronics.
    • Can review schematics and support hardware design.
    • Experience with board bring-up, bootloaders and firmware update, and low level drivers
    • Experience with low power design and battery management
    • Experience with external non-volatile storage, e.g. NOR flash or EEPROM
    • Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated unit and HIL testing
    • Knowledgeable of fundamental multithreading, memory management, and DSA concepts
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and excel in a fast dynamic work environment
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
    • The ability to lift up to 30lbs
    • Use of computers and technology
