The Program and Training Coordinator independently provides health care clinical and operations consulting and technical assistance, as well as educational and community outreach, to a variety of clientele. This position contributes to development of programs, interventions, and other strategies to ensure achievement of deliverables. The Program and Training Coordinator implements support functions for assigned projects and executes assigned tasks and/or phases of project plan while monitoring and reporting progress. This role shares best practices and lessons learned to achieve improvement in health care delivery systems, processes, and outcomes. This position also contributes to training and mentoring other staff.
- Collaborate with internal team members as well as external partners/stakeholders to efficiently and effectively improve health care delivery systems, processes, and outcomes.
- Develop and implement work plans, as part of team planning under oversight of a team leader or manager
- Provide consultation and technical support to health care providers
- Maintain subject matter expertise regarding process improvement methodologies and theories
- Design and implement QI interventions, curricula and processes
- Monitor deployment of interventions to ensure program effectiveness
- Convene and facilitate meetings for training, education, and coalition-building
- Track appropriate metrics
- Prepare reports of project progress
- Coordinates initiatives, tracks and monitors progress, and sets timelines for delegated assignments
- Coordinates, organizes, and maintains effective filing system and performs complex data entry and data management
- Ensures all records and business sensitive information are developed, distributed, handled, retrieved, and archived
- Develops and maintains documents, reports, templates, etc.,
- Monitors services under the direction of clinical staff and calls providers and recipients to ensure services are being delivered in accordance with the Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSP), notifying case managers of any discrepancies or gaps in service
- Performs data entry into systems (both external and internal) for requests, services provided, authorizations, etc
Required Skills
- Familiarity with healthcare clinical and operational workflows
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Proficiency with MS Project and/or Visio preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize and coordinate multiple simultaneous tasks in a team environment
- Familiarity with healthcare clinical and operational workflows
Required Experience
- At least 1 year of related project management and/or consulting work experience required
- At least 1 year of consulting and/or recent project management work experience in healthcare required (an additional 2 years of healthcare clinical and/or operational experience may be substituted for consulting experience
