Job Summary – Automotive Mechanic Budget Motors is looking for a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are in top condition for our customers. We focus on clean, well-maintained cars that don’t require major overhauls, allowing you to work efficiently without the hassle of endless rebuilds or red tape. You’ll be responsible for performing inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and using your expertise to complete repairs with precision. Responsibilities: • Perform system inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to determine necessary repair work • Team up with managers and other mechanics to diagnose and service cars coming in for auto repairs • Encourage and facilitate preventive maintenance work such as oil changes, air conditioning service, flushing, brake replacement, tire rotation, and more • Generating repair estimates, timelines, and process documents for automotive work • Remedy mechanical problems and malfunction codes that are identified in the vehicle's electrical system, mechanical systems, and electronic systems Qualifications: • Strong manual dexterity and proficiency with hand tools and other repair shop equipment is necessary • Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired • Valid driver’s license needed • An associate's degree from a vocational or technical school and/or ASE certification are a plus • Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent • Must own a comprehensive set of tools and diagnostic equipment to perform a wide range of repairs and troubleshooting. Compensation: $70,000
