Required Skills
Minimum of 2 years' experience in telemetry setting
Experience with IV Starts
Active ACLS, BCLS and NIH
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty

Ratios: 1:5-6
13-week contract
12 hour nights, 36 or 48 Hours can be offered
Floating required as needed to similar floors
4 weekend shifts per each 6 week schedule

Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI patients
Unit Details
CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length.
There is rapid patient turnover on the unit, daily.
There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times.
Scheduling
Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day.
If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy.
Unit cannot promise a block schedule at any time.
