PRIMARY FUNCTION:  To perform daily maintenance work on all building, grounds, and associated plant equipment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform daily, weekly and other scheduled facilities, mechanical and custodial maintenance tasks.

2. Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on identified equipment and machinery.

3. Assist with facilities renovation projects as needed.

4. Assist other facilities department personnel including summer interns.

5. Perform various building maintenance activities including but not limited to:

   • Plumbing
   • Painting  
   • Welding, fabrication and machining
   • Basic electrical
   • Pneumatics
   • Office assembly/disassembly
   • Basic HVAC diagnostics & PM Hydraulics

       

6. Organize and clean a variety of areas in and around the plant and grounds.

7. Order machinery and parts.

8. Assist other T-M plants on facilities related questions, some travel may be required.

Required Skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                   

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.             
• Computer Literate.             
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license, hi-lo and man lift licenses.
• Ability to work well with people, be service oriented.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Able to distinguish priorities and complete work in a timely manner.
• Able to work from heights.
