Position Title: Adult Ministry Assistant
Reports To: Lead Adult Ministry Pastor
Campus: All (Office at Mesa/Gilbert)
Status: 24 hours (Non-Exempt)
Position Summary: The Adult Ministry Assistant supports all campuses and provides organizational and administrative support to ministries such as: Central Groups, Central Cares, Central Men, Central Women and Next Steps.
This position is connected to the faith and ministry of the church and moves forward the vision of Central Christian Church.
Responsibilities:
Active member of Central Adult Ministries
Attend weekly team meetings and an active participant in team discussions, goal setting, implementation of programs and opportunities.
Represent Adult Ministries well in interactions with ministry leadership teams, volunteers, Central staff, congregants and the public.
Administrative Support
Create and submit room reservations and registrations for groups and events ranging from connection events, on campus groups, retreats, conferences, and funerals.
Assist in planning and execution of group semesters and connection events.
Receive and delegate needs and requests as appropriate such as: funeral requests, care requests, etc.
Submit check requests and reimbursements for Adult Ministry team.
Ordering, organization, and communications for events and gatherings.
Create workflows for re-orders and events.
As needed assist with trainings, events, meetings, funerals during off hours (evenings/Saturdays/Sundays)
Perform all administrative duties needed for position.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support the vision and direction of Central Christian Church and Adult Ministries
Participate in “all-staff” events at each level.
Support all staff duties and functions for Central.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum three years related work experience, or ministry work equivalent.
Exceptional administrative and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent people skills including written and verbal communication.
Computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint.
Working knowledge and experience with Rock RMS and Canva helpful.
High integrity including ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to multi task, adapt to changing responsibilities, and solve problems.
Ability to work independently within scope of assignment as well as cooperatively as a member of a team.
