    In this role, you'll develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs for surgical services perianesthesia orientation, staff development, and patient/family education. Your leadership will contribute to quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while fostering a collaborative environment for positive outcomes.

    Major Accountabilities / Specific Job Competencies:

    • Develop systems for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating educational programs.
    • Implement effective marketing strategies for staff development programs.
    • Maintain clinical expertise and improve employee skill levels.
    • Develop and implement orientation and ongoing education programs.
    • Act as a liaison to other institutions and participate in committees.
    • Develop and maintain a hospital database of educational/training information.
    • Act as a consultant for program development and improvement.
    • Promote the use of research findings to enhance employee practice and education.

    Requirements:

    • BSN; Master's Degree preferred
    • Current CA RN license
    • ASPAN preferred
    • Clinical Perianesthesia Post Anesthesia Care Registered Nurse Expertise
    • Demonstrated teaching and program development skills
    • Knowledge of supervisory practices for staff development
    • Minimum: Three (3) years clinical/teaching/leadership experience for Perianesthesia
    • Preferred: Three years critical care and/or post-anesthesia care in a level one trauma center
