Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and lifting techniques
Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients who require assistance
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Skills:
Proficient in using electronic medical record systems to document patient care
Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and interpretation
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary restrictions
Understanding of assisted living and senior care principles
Valid driver's license for transportation to patient homes or healthcare facilities
Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required in patient care settings
