Amazing Grace Home Care is looking for a highly compassionate and dependable individual to fill the position of Caregiver. Job Description:

Our Agency is dedicated to hiring people we can trust with our own families. Our caregivers deliver various services in accordance with an established plan of care and provide for the companionship needs and comfort of clients in their homes. Examples of duties could include companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, errands/shopping, transportation, medication reminders, technology assistance, and social activities. This position is a PRN position with a flexible schedule (part-time or full-time work available).

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities can include any of the following depending on client need:

· Provide continuous companionship for the client while on duty

· Plan and prepare meals

· Light housekeeping

· Errands/shopping

· Non-medical transportation

· Help client remain active, including social activities if desired.

· Observe the client’s general physical, emotional and mental condition and report all changes to the Administrator.

· Provide medication reminders and supervise the self-administration of medication

· Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents

· Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

· Maintain strict confidentiality of client and family

Required Qualifications:

· Current adult CPR/First Aid certification

· Must be 18 years of age or older

· Ability to read, write, and follow instructions

· Previous caregiving experience or the ability to pass a competency assessment

· Ability to prepare basic meals

· Housekeeping experience

· Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward elderly or disabled

· Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands

· Good verbal communications skills required.

· Background check and drug screen passed

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

· Caregiver training or certification preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of how to handle emergencies in the home and infection control

· Experience with Alzheimer's or Dementia a plus.

Physical Demands:

· Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include lifting to 50 pounds and extensive bending and standing.

· Deal effectively with stress

· Assess and communicate with ill clients.
