Look no further as we are seeking to add to add to our team with a professional full-time ASCP-certified PA to lead our Charlotte, NC team. At Carolina Pathology Group (CPG), you would work on approximately 88,000 surgical cases and 150 autopsies annually while leading a team.

What do you need for this opportunity?

· Have successfully completed a NAACLS accredited Pathologists’ Assistant training program and be ASCP Certified with at least 3+ years of experience with highly complex specimens in a fast-paced environment with a preference to leadership experience.

· Be able to work 9:30am-6:00pm with Saturday rotations and on-call Sundays and holidays

How you’ll make a difference:

· Perform all essential functions and duties of a Pathologists’ Assistant (PA)

· Gross description and complete dissection of all simple and complex surgical specimens

· Autopsy prosection with autopsy assistant

· Complete frozen section service

· Specimen photography and radiography

· Assist in certain specialized procedures or projects as designated by the Pathologists

· Tissue procurement for special studies

· Digital slide scanning for remote preliminary diagnosis and slide sharing

· Directly supervise all gross room personnel

· Evaluate staffing and scheduling to ensure appropriate coverage

· Provide support to maintain workflow and direct daily operations

· Completes new teammate orientation and operations training

· Ensures work assigned to teammates is completed and reported in a timely manner

· Additionally, this role will be expected to maintain professional interactions with Pathologists and Surgeons and assist with conference preparation as needed.
