Responsibilities: • Confirm flooring, roofing, and drywall are level and compatible • Read blueprints and sketches to fully grasp the requirements • Examine and repair structures • Fabricate rafters, partitions, stairways, and window and door frames • Sculpt and piece together siding, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and furniture • Selecting and preparing logs for construction according to project plans and specifications. • Cutting, shaping, and assembling logs using hand and power tools. • Installing insulation, windows, doors, and other fixtures in log structures. • Ensuring all work meets safety and building code standards. • Collaborating with architects, designers, and other team members to achieve project goals. Qualifications: • Driver’s license required • In-depth knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques • A high school diploma or GED is preferred • Great physical condition and dexterity • Completed carpentry apprenticeship required • Proven experience as a Log Carpenter or in a similar role. • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment. • Strong knowledge of wood properties and woodworking techniques. • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship. • Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy logs and equipment. • Certification or training in carpentry is a plus.
