    Job Summary:

    This position is suitable for someone who may not have extensive experience in the networking field but possesses a strong eagerness to learn and tackle the complexities of networking technologies. This position is in our professional services networking division. The hired person will be responsible for implementing and troubleshooting projects designed by our senior networking engineers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement, diagnose, and troubleshoot networking technologies.
    • Provides data network troubleshooting by using network protocol analysis tools.
    • Supports the network infrastructure maintenance and upgrades.
    • Coordinate with other technicians to resolve network and voice-related issues
    • Gain and maintain certifications in assigned areas of expertise.
    • Assist in the development of technical network design documents.
    • Communicate consistently and effectively with clients and business associates to build trust and create successful partnerships.

    Minimum Knowledge and Requirements:

    • Two years of experience installing, configuring, optimizing, and securing network components.
    • A keen interest in learning and acquiring knowledge, as well as an insatiable curiosity.
    • A logical understanding of Layers 1, layer 2, and layer 3 for problem diagnosis and resolution.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, raise concerns or risks, and meet deadlines.
    • Exceptional client service orientation.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Proven analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a culture of growth, change, and continuous learning.
    • On-call availability.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Ability to work in an environment which may require:
    • Sitting for extended periods of time
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and power tools and to handle other computer components.
    • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings
    • Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals

    Desired Qualifications/Skills:

    • Moderate knowledge of network topologies and networking components, including routers, switches, VPN Concentrators, and firewalls (hardware/software)
    • Two years’ experience supporting Cisco network environments.
    • Two years’ experience supporting and administering Cisco phone systems.
    • Experience with deployment and support of Meraki devices
    • Moderate understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, DNS, and DHCP
    • Experience troubleshooting basic cabling issues.
    • Ability to conduct and direct research into technical issues and products as required.
    • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.
    • Preferred: CCNA/CCNP certifications
    • Preferred: CMNO
