We are seeking to hire a SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER (FTTDP) to join our growing Systems Engineering team based at our Plano, Texas or Andover, Massachusetts office or remote from anywhere in the US located near a major airport!
The SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER will impact the organization by supporting key sales initiatives, being the technical voice of the customer, ensuring customer requirements are developed and road mapped in Casa Systems’ FTTdp (network and consumer devices) North America.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Subject matter expert in FTTdp solutions with extensive knowledge of the Optical Networking environments and G.fast/DSL technologies.
- Deliver expert technical knowledge during the pre-sales process to key customer stakeholders.
- Provide customer training and knowledge transfer to customer’s engineering, operations and sales organizations.
- Serve as a regional subject matter expert for FTTx ecosystem including customer testing & launch processes.
- Perform hands-on and remote guidance for customer POC, technical lab trials and field trials.
- Develop strong technical relationships within the target accounts and account teams; establish trusted advisor to account teams and customer base.
- Analyze customer reported issues, perform technical troubleshooting and manage issues through to successful resolution.
- Support the implementation phases of solution delivery, providing practical knowledge and guidance to support customers.
- Develop test cases and MOPs to support customers with introduction of new software.
- Evangelize Casa Access Devices (CAD) with customers.
- Work with internal management to identify, qualify, and develop CAD opportunities; deliver value proposition, sales presentations, competitive positioning.
- Provide post-sales support to assist customers with solution introduction and launch.
- Represent and prioritize requirements with internal engineering and solutions development teams.
- Manage key product pre-launch testing requirements with development teams to ensure accurate and timely information updating.
- Create, maintain and track Project Testing Schedules and key milestones.
- Coordinate with customer and their representatives to execute testing and achieve technical acceptance of products including software, hardware and updates, releases, patches, etc.
- Engage and coordinate with third parties to execute authorized testing procedures as part of the overall customer testing process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering or equivalent discipline; MBA is a plus.
- 7 to 10+ years of related experience.
- Experience with telecom management platforms and back-office integration (PMA/PMAA).
- Prior experience working with major telecommunication organizations and accounts.
- Willing and able to travel greater than 50% to customer sites and Andover, MA US.
- Ability to analyze customer reported issues, perform technical troubleshooting and manage issues through to successful resolution.
- Ability to support the implementation phases of solution delivery, providing practical knowledge and guidance to support customers.
- Requires a strong combination of technical and business development acumen and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and customers simultaneously.
- Understanding of key business challenges facing the telecom operator environment.
- Ability to resolve complex problems and clearly explain technical challenges and issues.
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to write and speak fluent English is required.
- Self-starter and highly motivated, with the ability to interact and support a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders in a Customers organization.
- Excellent understanding and technical knowledge of optical Networking Ecosystem including operators’ testing launch and maintenance processes.
- Knowledge of the optical networking and “last mile access” technologies.
- Some working knowledge of the mobile and wireless ecosystems would be beneficial.
