Serves as the agency liaison to the BRRJ and NCJ for the purpose of assessing individuals in the jail, to determine the presence of mental illness or co-occurring disorders. Individuals determined to have mental illness or co-occurring disorders will be linked to the appropriate NCSB program.

- Mental health and substance abuse concepts and symptoms associated with multiple disability population
 - Assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation for people with mental health and substance abuse disorders
 - DSM-V diagnostic criteria and psychotropic medications, side effects and uses
 - Medicaid/Medicare
 - State Licensure Requirements
 - Client Rights Regulations
 - Case Management Concepts
 - Crisis Intervention theory and intervention techniques
 - Community Resources and how to access such resources
 - Criminal Justice population and the agencies that serve them
 
Education/Experience:
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in human services, or related field, with extensive experience working
 - with individuals with serious mental illness and substance abuse disorders and who have criminal justice
 - issues and involvements
 
Certification/License:
- Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as reported by DMV are required
 - for persons using personal or agency vehicles in the performance of their duties
