Position Overview

As a Cash Applications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reconciling cash accounts, processing payments, and maintaining precise financial records. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will ensure timely and accurate financial transactions, supporting the overall efficiency of our finance department.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile payments, including lockbox, EFTs, wire transfers, and credit card transactions.
• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, including double payments or unapplied amounts.
• Perform daily processing of cash receipts and apply payments to customer accounts.
• Manage bank fee charge-offs and handle miscellaneous charges.
• Maintain organized records for auditing purposes, including remittances and bank statements.
• Collaborate with Collection Specialists to ensure accurate cash postings.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable with verbal bank verifications for vendors.
• Assist both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
• Experience: Prior experience in cash applications required.
