We are looking for a motivated Cashier to join our team! You will contribute to an exceptional dining experience by being the first person to greet our guests and provide exceptional hospitality, following Café Express standards. With special attention to detail you can accurately record the guest order, count change and give back correct amount. In this position you care about delivering excellent customer service, performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
REQUIREMENTS: · Must be at least 16 years old
· Must be able to stand for entire shift
· Positive attitude and commitment to customer satisfaction
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operate the POS computerized register system. (gift cards, credit cards, sign up rewards members, )
· Complete transactions accurately with guests.
· Suggestive selling of specific items.
· Consistently use order taking script.
· Greet every guest with a smile.
· Offer an enthusiastic and sincere welcome.
· Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
· Maintain all required alcohol-related certifications and permits required by state law.(TABC over 18)
· Assist with keeping the dining room clean during off-peak times.
· Restock paper products, condiments etc.
· Display a consistent Guest first attitude.
· Follow all Food Safety requirements as outlined in the Operations Manual to include strict enforcement of handwashing and glove procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: · Interpersonal Skills: Used with fellow Team Members, Managers and Guests.
· Communication: This position requires basic written, verbal and group communication skills. This position also requires the ability to read and interpret general business notices or other written communications. · Teamwork: Restaurant Team Members are expected to be good collaborative co-workers that treat others with respect and utmost care.
· Foodservice: Serving food quickly and accurately without compromising the quality of Guest service is the main responsibility of all restaurant Team Members. · Organizational Skills: Restaurant Team Members have multiple duties to manage simultaneously throughout a shift.
