Ride Operators are trained on multiple rides and may be assigned different rides during their shift. Ride Operator applicants should be safety conscious, maintain positive attitude, be outgoing, and willing to work with guests of all ages. Must be at least 16 years of age. Responsible for the safe daily operation of rides and attractions on Casino Pier. Trained by staff members who certify in accordance with New Jersey State regulations Follow all safety precautions as well as comply with all Casino Beach Pier, LLC policies and procedures. Assist guests on and off the attraction in addition to operating all rides in a safe manner consistent with operating procedures. Assure that all aspects of the ride cycle comply with normal safety procedures. Must be alert and have a quick reaction time to stop a ride properly in case of an emergency. Responsible for accurately checking heights for every rider in accordance with their rider policy. Operators are also responsible for enforcing the accompanying rider policy on specific rides. Must collect an admission fee (credits, or wristbands) for every rider. Maintain a clean and safe working environment for guests and team members. Must be guest-oriented and enjoy working with the public and solving problems. Requirements We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic team players committed to rider safety. Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Requires physical mobility (i.e., the ability to move in different work stations, hand and arm movement). Requires long hours of standing, walking, and bending. Must be able to operate and control amusement park ride devices and machines. Safely perform job duties that are explained during comprehensive ride operator and safety training. Interact with customers, including greeting them, taking ticket admission, enforcing height restrictions, explaining and enforcing safety regulations, and answering general questions. Must be able to interact well with coworkers. Ride Operators are rotated throughout multiple rides, some which require one or more operators to work together to safely control the ride. Ride Operator Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and perform hand signals . This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee will be working indoors and outdoors and are exposed to all types of weather and are exposed to loud noise throughout the day. Ride Operator Expected Hours of Work We require that employees are available to work a varied schedule. We require that you be available to work weekends and holidays from April to October. Employees are expected to commit to their posted schedule and follow the policies of Casino Beach Pier, LLC with requesting a change of schedule.
