Cataloochee Ski Area - Employee Transport Specialist
OVERVIEW: The Employee Transport Specialist at Cataloochee Ski Area is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting employees between various locations, ensuring a positive and friendly experience. This seasonal position requires excellent driving skills, a strong knowledge of the area, and a dedication to guest service.
Basic Requirements:
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Customer Service Skills: Friendly and approachable with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
Physical Ability: Able to assist employees with equipment and work in winter weather conditions.
Experience: Previous shuttle driving or commercial driving experience is preferred, but not required.
Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving.
Must be able to withstand extreme winter weather conditions.
Must be able to work weekend and holiday shifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate the van, following all traffic laws and regulations.
Pick up and drop off employees at designated locations.
Assist employees with loading and unloading their belongings.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
Ability to facilitate winter driving equipment
Keep accurate records of trips, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Follow a scheduled route and manage time effectively.
Reports any vehicle issues to the supervisor immediately.
