We are currently looking for catering staff for business events. Our events are typically 4-8 hours long, and are located in the 5 NYC boroughs.
Job Summary
Summary: Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers food to restaurant/dining room patrons/customers.
- Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment.
- Interacts with customers in order to assure customer satisfaction.
- Interacts with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company service standards.
- Completes side work as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bus tables by removing dirty dishes and trash
- Check in with customers to ensure their experience is satisfactory
- Relay reports of customer satisfaction to the management and relevant parties
- Ensure patrons have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food
- Assist setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins and decorations
- Handle various impromptu requests from customers
Requirements:
- Must be able to multitask in order to ensure customers get their orders promptly
- High degree of organizational skills to easily locate tables and bar patrons to fulfill everyone’s orders
- Excellent communication skills to ensure they meet customers’ requests.
- Be able to remain on their feet for several hours straight. Additionally, they should be able to carry about 35 pounds easily.
