Accountant Overview
This role will be responsible for preparing accounts, budgeting, cash management, and managing investor information and reporting. Additionally, this role will support the accurate and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information. This position will focus on the firm’s real estate-related holdings and relationships.
Cedar Pine has a hybrid in-office work policy, which requires three days per week on-site in Northbrook.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP, reports for internal use, and ad-hoc financial reports on request.
Maintain investor information, allocation schedules, and investor reporting.
Maintain controls on wire transfers and other cash movements.
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, expense reporting, fund bookkeeping, and investor reporting.
Ability to handle sensitive information in a timely and confidential manner.
Collaborate internally with lending and property management teams to gather and report relevant financial information and support decision-making processes
Assist in family office reporting and maintenance of special purpose entities.
Manage cash flow and budgeting and analyze all assets, income, anticipated expenses, and liabilities for family-office controlled entities.
Report on specific entities’ financial health and liquidity.
