JOB TITLE: MACHINE PACKER

INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPANY: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes.

Hiring immediately for 3rd shift Machine Packers for our manufacturing facility in City of Industry, CA

MACHINE PACKER PAY/SCHEDULE:

• Pay $17/hr + shift premiums
• 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr (10pm - 6am)
• Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/based on business needs.

MACHINE PACKER RESPONSIBILITIES & DAILY DUTIES:

• Loads paper on to automatic hand-fedORweb envelope folding machines; pack finished product.
• Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.
• Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished product; Cleans up work area during/end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

MACHINE PACKER REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills

MACHINE PACKER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:-

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness; Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds; Manual dexterity required to grasp objects.
• Exposure to arm/wrist fatigue; Exposure to noise, hazardous materials (inks, solvents, glue, etc.).
• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather.
