Job Title: Bilingual Certified Athletic Trainer
Location: Southern New Mexico & West Texas
Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team in our outpatient physical therapy facility. The ideal candidate is bilingual in Spanish and English, holds current BOC Certification and license eligibility in the states of New Mexico and Texas, and is committed to providing high-quality patient care. Experience in tactical, industrial, and outpatient clinical service lines is highly recommended. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends/evenings required. The ability to collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists and demonstrate proficient computer skills are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care Collaboration:
Work closely with physical therapists and occupational therapists to provide coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using proficient computer skills.
Assist in administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and documentation.
Injury Assessment and Prevention:
Conduct initial injury assessments and collaborate with the therapy team to develop appropriate care plans.
Provide education on injury prevention techniques and exercises.
Assist in the delivery of prevention through to rehabilitative services.
Collaborative Teamwork:
Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Attend regular team meetings and contribute to discussions on patient care and facility improvements.
Qualifications:
Current BOC Certification as an Athletic Trainer.
License eligible in the state of NM and TX
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills for documentation and administrative tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced outpatient physical therapy setting.
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Occasional weekend/evening work may be required based on patient needs.
