    Job Summary:

    The Water Restoration Crew Chief is responsible for leading and managing the restoration team during water damage remediation projects. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of water damage cleanup, managing the crew, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with company standards, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The Crew Chief ensures that water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes are carried out efficiently and safely.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Crew Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of water restoration technicians to ensure the successful completion of water damage restoration projects. Assign tasks and ensure work is completed on schedule.

    Water Damage Mitigation: Oversee the removal of water, drying, dehumidification, and restoration of property. Ensure that all restoration steps are followed properly to prevent further damage.

    Assessment & Documentation: Conduct site assessments and document the damage to prepare a work plan. Take photos and detailed notes for reporting purposes and ensure all documentation is accurate.

    Customer Interaction: Maintain positive relationships with clients, explain the restoration process, and address any concerns or questions. Ensure that all customer needs are met, and their property is treated with care.

    Equipment Management: Ensure all equipment, such as water extractors, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other restoration tools, is in proper working order. Coordinate the setup and operation of equipment at job sites.

    Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety protocols and industry standards are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.

    Training and Development: Train new or less experienced technicians on water damage restoration techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.

    Quality Control: Inspect completed work for quality and completeness, ensuring that it meets both company standards and customer expectations.

    Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of restoration supplies and equipment, ensuring that the crew has everything needed for each job.

    Reporting: Provide regular updates to management, including project status, crew performance, and any issues encountered on site.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water damage restoration or related field, with at least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.

    Certifications: IICRC Water Damage Restoration certification (or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe), other relevant certifications are a plus.

    Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, ensuring effective communication, productivity, and a high standard of work.

    Customer Service: Strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer concerns with professionalism and care.

    Technical Knowledge: Proficient in using water restoration equipment and understanding of water damage restoration techniques.

    Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, lifting heavy equipment and performing tasks that require manual labor.

    Problem-Solving: Ability to address unexpected challenges or complications on job sites and make decisions under pressure.

    Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, proper assessment of damage, and high-quality restoration work.

    Working Conditions:

    Schedule: Day/Evening/Night shifts; on-call]

    Environment: Work in various environments, including residential, commercial, and industrial properties affected by water damage.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), crouch, kneel, and work in confined spaces.

    On Call Response Time: Must be able to commute to Hillsborough, NJ in 30 mins or less!
