    Position

    The Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders (WACBD) has an amazing team and we’re growing! We are looking for an MA-C who is able to flex between the front desk and clinic. Front desk duties include greeting patients, answering phones/email/fax, scheduling, registration and medical records. Clinic duties include rooming patients, intake (meds/allergies/vitals), venipuncture and preparing specimens for the lab. This position is full-time, no evenings or weekends. Benefits include $7500 sign on bonus , generous PTO, 401K, 100% health insurance premiums for staff members, fully paid parking or transit pass.

    Clinic:

    WACBD is recognized as a Center of Excellence for patients with rare bleeding disorders like hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease. We see adult patients at our beautiful clinic located at the convention center in downtown Seattle, with easy access to bus and light-rail stations. We are able to care for our patients across the state of Washington, offering telemedicine visits and outreach clinics. Our Medical Assistants are an important part of our comprehensive team that includes hematologists, nurses, physical therapists, social work, research, billing and pharmacists.

    Clinical Duties:

    • Patient intake- rooming patients, medication/allergy reconciliation, vitals
    • Venipuncture
    • Preparing specimens for lab

    • Administrative Duties:

    • Greeting patients at front desk

    • Answering incoming calls, fax, email

    • Scheduling

    • Registration

    • Medical records- preparing charts, requesting records, updating EHR

    Supervisor: Nurse Manager

    Schedule:

    • Full-time
    • 8-hour shifts
    • Monday through Friday
    • No evenings or weekends
    • 10 paid holidays

    Pay:

    • $24 - $30 per hour ($50,000 - $62,000 per year, overtime eligible)

    Requirements:

    • Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C). Please note: MA-R and M-P are NOT acceptable certifications for this role.
    • Minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
    • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification
