Responsibilities: • Prepare exam rooms for patients ensuring the room is well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature for the patient and sterilize equipment • Say hello to patients when they come to the office, answer the phone, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries about prescription refills and treatment to ensure patients have a pleasant experience at our office • Assist healthcare staff with examinations by handing the appropriate medical instrument and supplies to the physician, positioning the patient, and helping with other tasks as needed • Collect blood samples from patients and send to the lab for testing • Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart Qualifications: • Has Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or other certifying agency • Candidates must have successfully completed an accredited medical assisting program a supervised externship in a healthcare setting • Possesses basic computer skills to complete administrative tasks • Strong communication skills and customer service skills • High school diploma or GED • Ability to multi-task under pressure • Detail-oriented - quality and precision-focused • People-oriented - supportive and fairness-focused • Team-oriented - cooperative and collaborative • Creating a safe and effective environment • Customer focus • Bedside manner Benefits • Paid Sick Time off • Health Insurance • 401(k) Please expect calls early next week!
