You’ll be responsible for welcoming patients, scheduling appointments and work closely with our healthcare staff to take patient histories, collect test samples, and help with examinations. Responsibilities: • Take the patient’s vital signs including their pulse, body temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressure and record it in their chart • Make sure examination rooms are ready for patients by ensuring they’re well-stocked and at a comfortable temperature and that all equipment is sterilized • Assist healthcare staff with examinations by handing the appropriate medical instrument and supplies to the physician, positioning the patient, and helping with other tasks as needed • Discuss patient information, medical history, and the reason for their visit to share with the healthcare staff • Greet patients, handle telephone calls, schedule appointments, and answer inquiries regarding treatment or prescription refills to make sure each patient has a great experience in our office Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED • Must have completed an accredited medical assisting program and a supervised externship in a healthcare setting • Over 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant performing admin duties or similar role in a healthcare work environment • Solid communication and customer service skills • Ability use a computer to complete administrative tasks Compensation: $20 hourly DOE
