Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients and nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care and a positive experience for our patients. As a CNA, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and fostering a comfortable and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility by assisting them to move around safely, including transferring patients in and out of beds and wheelchairs.
- Support nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing care and implementing care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by adhering to infection control procedures and ensuring equipment and supplies are available.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, providing emotional support and enhancing overall patient experience.
- Document patient care activities accurately, following established protocols and regulations.
- Participate in staff training and continuing education to maintain current CNA certification and improve patient care skills.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in CO.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathy and compassion, with the ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks and handling physical demands of the job.
- Must be able to respond to patient needs in a timely manner.
