    Shift Availability:

    Join our team at BDS Home in Avon! We're dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals in a home setting. We're seeking motivated and caring CNAs to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

    Role Overview:

    The Certified Nursing Assistant-Direct Support Professionals at Enchanted Hearts Home Care LLC plays a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals who need assistance or support. As to uphold in providing the utmost medical essential support and companionship, allowing to maintain their independence and dignity. This position involves providing compassionate support to individuals (including elderly, people with disabilities, or those recovering from injury) with their activities in their daily living and support overall well-being.

    Responsibilities:

    Personalized Care Planning & Implementation: Actively participate in helping and following personalized plans (Individualized Support Plans), tracking progress, and adjusting to help clients reach their goals.

    Behavioral Guidance & Positive Support: Implement positive methods to guide behavior, handle crisis, and create a safe & understanding environment.

    Personal Care: Provide comprehensive personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring the comfort and hygiene of clients.

    Meal Preparation and Nutrition: Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding, and ensure adherence to dietary requirements.

    Household Management: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.

    Social and Life Skills Support: Facilitate social interaction, provide guidance on vocational skills, and assist with developing essential life skills.

    Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provide comprehensive support with ADLs, including mobility assistance, transfers, and lifting, ensuring client safety and independence.

    Transportation and Appointments: Assist clients with transportation to medical appointments, social activities, and errands, ensuring timely and safe travel.

    Medical Assistance: Administer medication reminders, monitor vital signs, and assist with basic medical tasks as directed by the client's care plan.

    Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and progress, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Requirements / Qualifications:

    Willingness to be trained as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

    Education: Possess of a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

    Experience: Has experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is highly preferred

    Certifications: Has formal training and completed the CNA Licensure and has CPR Certification

    Compassion, Patient, and Empathy: Has the genuinely desire to help others and a compassionate approach to caregiving especially for people with developmental disability

    Reliability and Punctuality: Has a strong work ethic and ability to maintain a consistent schedule and dependable with clients

    Reliable Transportation: Must hold a valid driving license. Ideally, candidates should have their own vehicle with insurance, though a company car is available for work-related errands and client visits.
