Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, you will assist patients with their daily living needs, provide compassionate care, and generally increase their quality of life. Responsibilities may include monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene needs. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and willing to be an advocate for their patients.
Schedule: PRN
Responsibilities • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Provide mobility support, including transfers and repositioning. • Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed. Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure). • Observe and report changes in the client’s physical or mental condition. • Remind clients to take medications • Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a clean living environment. • Prepare meals according to dietary needs and client preferences. • Assist with grocery shopping and errands if required. Engage in meaningful conversations and provide companionship. • Encourage participation in activities and hobbies. • Provide reassurance and emotional support. Follow the care plan developed by nurses and care managers. • Ensure a safe home environment, minimizing fall risks and hazards. • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality. • Follow infection control and hygiene protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
FIRST AID and CPR - certified (NO ONLINE CERTIFICATION)
Current TB Skin test or CXR
Basic computer skills
Ability to adhere to all health and safety guidelines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift heavy objects
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Current Auto Insurance
Ability to work with limited supervision
Compassionate, respectful, ethical
Ability to independently lift at least 50 lbs
