As a certified nursing assistant, you’ll be the main caregiver for our patients with varied levels of mobility who require help with daily living activities like going to the restroom, getting dressed, eating regular meals, and changing bedpans. You’ll also need to accurately record patient vitals, monitor changes in behavior or symptoms, and answer call signals and bells to determine patient needs. Responsibilities: • Assist patients with regular exercise as needed to maintain physical health and mobility level • Record patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level • Sanitize and clean patient’s room by rotating sheets, bedpans, and performing general room cleaning • Communicate information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care • Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed What You’ll Do: • Provide direct care (ADLs, hygiene, mobility, etc.) • Build relationships with residents and teammates • Keep documentation accurate and up-to-date • Bring warmth, patience, and consistency every shift Qualifications: • The ability to administer catheters and enemas is desired, but not required • Prior experience helping bedridden patients and patients who suffer from age-related illness including Alzheimer's and Dementia would be preferred • Candidates should have the physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables or wheelchairs and move medical equipment • Exceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationships • Must have completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a community college, vocational school, or medical facility What You’ll Need: • CNA, PCA, or DCA certification in Virginia • Reliability and a heart for serving seniors • Positive attitude and ta eamwork mindset Compensation: $17-18 hour plus shift differential
