We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will improve patients' abilities, follow treatment plans, and provide therapy to help them overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
Duties:
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
- Follow implemented individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, strength, and endurance
- Teach patients adaptive techniques and strategies to enhance their independence in daily activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Previous experience in a clinic setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational therapy principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills for efficient case management
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: Dependent on experience and to be discussed in interview.
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
