Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team and support the provision of high-quality occupational therapy services. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans, conduct therapy sessions, and help clients improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role involves close collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, focusing on improving clients' daily living skills, mobility, and overall independence.
Conduct therapy sessions, including individual and group activities, as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
Prepare and organize therapy materials and maintain equipment in a safe and accessible manner.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting findings and observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist
Educate clients, families, and caregivers on activities and exercises that support continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in team meetings, staff training, and professional development opportunities.
Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions and documentation practices.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
