  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a talented Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for the school year.

    Responsibilities would include:

    • Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
    • Assist in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapy plans to support student learning and independence.
    • Work with students on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
    • Support students in developing adaptive behaviors to enhance engagement in school activities.
    • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom.
    • Assist in data collection and progress monitoring to evaluate therapy effectiveness.
    • Recommend and help implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom modifications.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) and IDEA guidelines.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
    • Washington State Occupational Therapy Assistant License (issued by the Washington Department of Health – DOH).
    • Supervised fieldwork experience in a pediatric or school-based setting.
    • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
