  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a Certified Peer Specialist in Baltimore, MD, who can integrate their personal experience into client treatment plans effectively. The perfect candidate will advocate for a wellness-centered, drug-free approach to aid recovery in our residential and outpatient programs and will collaborate well with the team while prioritizing a client-centered approach. Responsibilities: • Utilize motivational and coaching techniques, with supervision, to support clients in actively engaging in their care by providing reminder calls, wellness checks, and escorts when needed • Work closely with the behavioral health team members to coordinate treatment goals and tasks aimed at achieving these objectives • Co-facilitate group sessions alongside behavioral health providers • Provide coaching and education either at the client's home or within the community on daily living skills and community integration, including linking them to recovery networks and offering guidance on household responsibilities • Assist clients in identifying and expanding their support systems • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping in the electronic health record system • Some roles may entail monitoring medications • Conduct urinalysis collection as necessary • Certain positions may require providing transportation assistance Qualifications: • Must be a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist • Preferably have two years of case management experience • Preferably have one year of experience in a health care setting, residential, or community-based organization • Required to have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds • Must be a team player Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly
