SPIN Global is a Maryland-based public benefit corporation that exists to disrupt disasters from neighborhoods to nations. We are seeking qualified applicants to build a deployment-ready cadre, prepared to support response operations as opportunities arise. Applicants must possess a FEMA Entry on Duty (EOD).
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial audits, assessments, and reports in compliance with FEMA's Public Assistance Program guidelines.
- Ensure accurate financial records, proper allocation of funds, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Utilize FEMA's Grants Portal to manage financial documentation and maintain transparency.
- Conduct financial site inspections to evaluate fund use and program delivery.
- Provide technical expertise on financial determination memorandums, appeals, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with program delivery managers and site inspectors to ensure accurate financial assessments.
- Stay up to date with FEMA's training courses, financial policies, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Completion of FEMA courses preferred:
- IS-1000: Public Assistance Program and Eligibility
- IS-1001: The Public Assistance Delivery Model Orientation
- IS-1002: FEMA Grants Portal – Transparency at Every Step
- IS-1004: The FEMA Site Inspection Process
- IS-1018: Determination Memorandums and Appeals
- 7116: Program Delivery Manager
- 7117: Site Inspection
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Work onsite in North Carolina.
- EOD Required.
