Your job duties will include overseeing our financial planning by ensuring the accuracy of our financial information, preparing financial reports, maintaining our general ledger, and optimizing our business with data-driven recommendations. Lotus Hospitality began as a small company with a single hotel and one man’s vision to create a luxury experience accessible to everyone. From humble beginnings, Lotus Hospitality has expanded to operate 14 hotels and four multi-use properties in less than a decade. Through innovative new properties and historic refurbishments, Lotus Hospitality has reshaped Kansas City's downtown corridor, sparking growth and revitalization. But we’re nowhere close to finished. As we continue our journey, we’re looking for a skilled CPA to join our team and help drive our financial strategy forward. Responsibilities: • Ensure accounts payable and accounts receivable are completed in a timely manner • Bookkeeping: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial documents such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and financial transactions • Liaise with tax accountants to track payments and returns • Establish how effectively we’re converting sales to income by forecasting revenue and analyzing our profit margin • Play a key role in strategic planning and organizational budget Qualifications: • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field, Master’s degree preferred • Must exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skills • 2+ years of work experience in accounting services, financial services, or similar field • Must have passed the uniform CPA examination from the AICPA and be CPA certified within the state board of accountancy regulations Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 yearly
