Job Title/ Summary: Ultrasound Technician (Sonographer)
We are looking for a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasound Technician to join the diagnostic imaging team of a major hospital. In this role, you will perform ultrasound examinations, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs, tissues, and vascular systems.
• Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Review patient medical history and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
• Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal image quality.
• Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to radiologists or physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document findings in compliance with organizational policies.
• Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure proper function and sterility.
• Adhere to safety standards, including infection control and radiation safety protocols.
Qualifications:
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Certification: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent certification in specialties such as OB/GYN, Abdomen, or Vascular preferred.
• Proficiency in operating ultrasound machines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
