Certrec is seeking a Compliance Analyst for our NERC Compliance Team. Our analysts thrive on providing our clients with high-quality services that are delivered on time and within scope and budget. This role will have you working hand-in-hand with our clients to assist with the development and implementation of client Internal Compliance Programs (ICP). You will do this by conducting reviews and analysis of compliance evidence, presenting and advising on report findings, and advising on how how to best maintain program documents to meet the regulatory requirements in the power industry. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Visits and/or calls clients to develop relationships, support project meetings, and develop new business opportunities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of client Internal Compliance Programs (ICP), Audits, Self-Assessments, Gap Analysis, etc.
- Gathers client evidence for procedures, self-assessments, data submittals, RSAWs, etc.
- Develops procedures and training programs specific to the client’s applicability to the NERC Reliability Standards.
- Mentors lower-level analysts and perform peer checks of work products for key information.
- Identifies any project issues that may affect project quality, schedule, or budget to Supervisor/Manager and Project Manager as soon as it is discovered.
- Ensure that billable time is maximized.
- Research and analyze compliance-related questions and provide recommendations based upon regulatory changes or identified areas of concern.
- Create desktop guides, videos, and provide training on the use of our platform.
- Learn and stay current on all Certrec websites and products.
- Learn and stay current on all NERC Compliance Standards.
- Perform Business Development during client interfacing. Look for opportunities and establish rapport with client and build relationships.
- Keep Business Development group apprised of leads, client intelligence, organization changes, client issues and other key areas of concern.
TRAVEL:
Typically 20%, and may be required to take temporary assignments at customer locations to support business needs and requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a citizen of the United States.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent college credit hours (60) from a university and one (1) to three (3) years previous experience in regulatory compliance in a similar role.
SKILLS:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
