The Role:
We are looking for a certified, experienced Change and Communications Consultant manager with strong leadership and client delivery skills! The change and communications manager role is a key driver of execution, service, and value within the Starr & Associates team. In this role you will be responsible for devising and executing strategies for change management and communication to drive engagement among our clients and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Working in close collaboration with our client's senior leadership, you will analyze the organization's needs, formulate change initiatives, and implement strategies for effective communication. In creating change management solutions for all levels of the organization, you will need to apply innovative and design-oriented thinking to fortify the impact of your change strategies. The role requires exceptional interpersonal skills, a profound comprehension of change management principles, and the ability to adeptly convey intricate concepts to a diverse range of audiences. Furthermore, there may be instances where you may need to collaborate with Public Relations teams or the media to craft and deliver communications on behalf of our clients. This is a hands-on position, ideal for someone who is BOLD, CONFIDENT, organized, self-directed, a strong collaborator, critical problem solver, and who aspires to excel in service delivery.
The Work:
Create, communicate, and implement change management strategies and plans that ready the organization by anticipating and minimizing resistance and business disruption, maximizing engagement that drives faster adoption and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees
Collaborate with clients and project teams to assess change requirements, develop comprehensive change management strategies by identifying potential risks, obstacles, and resistance to change, and develop mitigation plans to address them.
Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change management efforts
Develop, refine, and implement comprehensive communication strategies that engage and inspire associates.
Develop and manage workforce communication and engagement strategies through active communications using company communication tools, presentations, newsletters, electronic boards, PowerPoint, and videos to inform and educate associates about changes.
Create high-quality written materials, including leader messaging, presentations, talking points, internal announcements, and project testimonials for available communication channels.
Conduct stakeholder analysis to understand key stakeholder needs, concerns, and expectations and develop strategies to address them effectively.
Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and meetings to gather feedback, address concerns, and foster a culture of open communication.
Collaborate with the learning and development team to develop training programs that support change initiatives.
Deliver training sessions to equip associates with the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate changes.
Provide coaching and support to managers and leaders to help them effectively lead their teams through change.
Collect feedback from associates and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to change strategies and communication plans.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in change management and communications and share insights and recommendations with clients and internal teams.
Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle consumer and customer data per applicable policies and procedures.
Lead teams to improvements through the application of Agile best practices.
Here's what you need:
Bachelor's or master's degree - Communications, Journalism, Business Management, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field of study.
Change Management certification ACMP/PROSCI training/certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in internal corporate communication or in a related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in change management, organizational development, or related roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences and channels.
Exceptional interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
Experience in developing and executing complex project plans and the associated communications and change management strategies.
Demonstrated experience managing large, complex, cross- functional/cross-divisional projects and portfolios of projects working across the division and enterprise to win as one team.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize conversations into key takeaways and action items.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with communication and collaboration tools.
Must have experience in crafting messages for all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - as client interaction will be critical to the success of this role.
Proven interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with our clients.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite - Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Power Point.
Extensive experience with MS Project, MS Project Server/Project Web Access (PWA) or other Work Planning application.
Independent thinker and self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments with minimal supervision - a proven record of leadership in a work setting.
U.S. citizenship required.
