    St. Vincent Eye Surgery Medical Center, located in Los Angeles, CA., is hiring a Full-time Charge Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team.

    Under general direction from Center Manager, the Charge Nurse provides professional nursing care through assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of the patient. The registered nurse is responsible for delivering safe, knowledgeable, compassionate, educative and individualized nursing care to patients and families. If there is a non-clinical Center Manager in place, then nursing services reports directly to the Director of Nursing (DON) and is under the general direction from the DON.

    Please note that the starting pay for this is between $45 to $48 an hour.

    Required Skills

    1. Holds current RN license from the applicable authority.
    2. Current certification in CPR and, depending on Center

    Required Experience

    1. Minimum of three years of nursing experience in a surgical or ophthalmology setting, with proficiency in managing operating room workflows, supervising sterile techniques, and providing care to anesthetized patients. Prior experience in ophthalmic laser procedures is highly desirable.
    2. Strong knowledge of ASC operations and compliance standards, including AAAHC, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory requirements specific to ophthalmology and surgical procedures.
    3. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate and supervise OR staff, manage case schedules, and ensure adherence to best practices for patient safety and infection control.
    4. Exceptional collaboration and communication abilities, fostering teamwork between surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care in a specialized surgical environment.
    5. Proficiency in handling surgical equipment and technology, particularly those used in ophthalmic and laser-based procedures, with a commitment to continuous learning in emerging surgical techniques and practices.
