    Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Asheville, NC in finding a Full-Time live-out Personal Assistant/House Manager for their 87 year old father. The Personal Assistant/House Manager would typically be needed up to 40 hours a week. The family would guarantee a pay of 40 hours a week, whether 40 hours a week of work is needed or not. The hours are flexible and can include evening and weekend hours on occasion.

    The best Personal Assistant/House Manager for their dad should be reliable, as self-starter, experienced, professional, and personable. Their dad has some health and memory loss issues. There is a personal health care aid that visits him and manages his care on a bi-weekly basis. He needs assistance with daily activities such as light cooking, driving, tech support, and managing his home. The best candidate would be able to adapt to his changeling needs and be proactive in caring for his needs and his household needs. The ability to multi-task and organize are important to be able to meet the needs of a Personal Assistant/House Management role. The Personal Assistant/House Manager should have great active listening skills, be patient, and a strong communicator. The father likes to read the newspaper, watch TV, talk on the phone, and use his computer. The Personal Assistant/House Manager should be able to be friends with the father, spend time with him, and take him to activities he likes around town. This position can be mostly completed at the father’s residence, but some hours may be completed remotely some weeks. The House Manager for this family must follow all CDC and government guidelines pertaining to Covid-19 and be cautious as to avoid exposing themselves and the family to Covid-19.

    Personal Assistant/House Manager Duties Include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain home office filing system

    • Handle all appointment booking and coordinating

    • Provide travel to and from all appointments (Acura MDX provided)

    • Run local errands as requested

    • Order or prepare simple meals

    • Grocery shop

    • Light cooking

    • Manage all household contractors (i.e. plumber, house cleaner, maintenance, etc.)

    • Monitor his medication compliance, ensure medications are taken as prescribed

    • Paying bills

    • Basic technology support for phone, laptop, printer, TV, etc.

    • Light household chores (i.e. dishes, laundry, trash removal, mail, etc.)

    Qualifications:

    • Have at least 3 years of professional Personal Assistant/House Management

    • Have a college degree or equivalent experience

    • Have a professional resume

    • Fill out a complete online application

    • Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

    • Pass a national background check, including driving record check

    • Have a valid driver’s license

    • Have safe and reliable transportation

    • Have a minimum of three professional references

    • CPR and First Aid Certified

    • Nanny should be fluent in English, any additional languages are a plus

    • Must be up to date on vaccinations including the Covid-19 vaccine prior to starting the position.

    Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

    • This position starts ASAP

    • Legal pay is offered at a competitive hourly wage, with a guarantee of 40 hours of pay a week
