    Our popular restaurant is looking for a forward-thinking and talented executive chef to give our guests a great dining experience. We require an effective supervisor who can produce innovative menus and recipes, oversee all food leaving the kitchen, and guarantee health and safety regulations are met. Our ideal candidate is an inventive culinary leader who can recruit and develop great personnel to provide guests with a top-notch dining experience. Responsibilities: • Recruit, train, and lead all kitchen personnel while instilling a sense of teamwork through positive feedback, mentoring, and support • Combine diverse ingredients in a unique way to create new and distinctive menu items and specials • Be responsible for the overall success of the daily culinary operations, with an emphasis on surpassing guest expectations while driving revenue and profit • Coordinate all kitchen food preparation, including processes, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are presented elegantly • Review and track team member performance objectives, as well as offer guidance and assistance to support and promote an efficient kitchen • Oversee planning and preparation of food products according to department requirements and standards created • Manage inventory/recommend orders to achieve business needs within the department budget • Perform an inventory of all food, beverage, and other supplies based pars with established vendors; submit an order to GM for approval and submission • Clean and organize the kitchen area including refrigeration units, freezers, storage areas, and cooking lines • Promote positive morale and environment through mentoring, counseling, and leadership Qualifications: • Must have 7-8 years of culinary experience for this role • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Outstanding management abilities, as well as experience leading, inspiring, and building a team • Strong culinary skills with excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail • Expertise in food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines • Must be able to work nights and weekends • Maintain all relevant certifications, including but not limited to ServSafe, Tips, and any NY State requirements Compensation: $23 - $25 hourly
