Tavern on Rush in Chicago is seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary leadership, you will oversee menu execution, kitchen operations, and team management. Responsibilities: • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation. • Ensure adherence to food safety protocols and HACCP guidelines. • Lead and manage a team of cooks, providing guidance, training, and feedback. • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, inventory management, and cost control. • Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and teamwork within the kitchen. • Uphold ethical business practices and promote a positive work environment. • Demonstrate leadership skills, including conflict resolution, performance management, and team development. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or in a similar role. • Culinary degree or equivalent experience. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Proficiency in kitchen management software and systems. Compensation: $85,000
