Responsibilities: • Incorporate different ingredients in a creative way to produce fresh and innovative menu items and specials • Work with vendors to secure the best items at cost-effective pricing, and manage department expenses that are within your direct control such as food, supplies, uniforms, and equipment • Provide guidance and direction to staff, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance to make the kitchen run efficiently • Supervise all food preparation in the kitchen, including procedures, portioning, garnishing, and ensure that all meals and dishes are attractively presented • Exceed guest expectations while increasing sales and profits and overseeing the success of day-to-day operations of the restaurant kitchen Qualifications: • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED • This role requires experience building, motivating, and leading a team • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and coworkers • This role requires 7-8 years of culinary experience • Understanding and compliance with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 yearly
