As the Food Service Chef of Primrose School of North Meridian, you’ll prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they learn each day. Primrose School of North Meridian is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Chef/Cook. We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our team. Job duties include but are not limited to preparing meals and snacks for an average of 150-200 students per day, planning menus, daily kitchen administration, cleaning, dishes, and ordering food for the upcoming week. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Qualifications:
Encourage healthy eating habits through planning and preparation of varied delicious and nutritious foods.
Maintain a keen awareness of children with allergies and food restrictions.
Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products or food items that have been processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
Must be able to lift 40lbs or more.
Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with the Director.
Assist with ordering food and calculating quantities/types necessary.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Demonstrating a strong work ethic, being a team player, being creative, excelling in communication, creating/maintaining the Primrose Culture are all expected attributes.
Benefits:
Hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday-Friday-Set Schedule
$16-$18/hr. DOE
Closed Weekends, Nights and Holidays
80 hours accrued PTO and paid holidays
