Position Overview
The Chef is responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing all culinary aspects of the restaurant. This includes menu development, kitchen staff management, quality control, and cost management. The Chef plays a key role in upholding the restaurant's mission of excellence and fine dining by creating high-quality dishes and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development: Design and develop seasonal, high-quality dishes that align with the restaurant’s fine dining concept.
Recipe Documentation: Standardize all recipes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
Dish Presentation: Focus on dish aesthetics and presentation to enhance the overall dining experience.
Staff Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Kitchen Operations: Coordinate the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback to kitchen team members.
Ingredient Sourcing: Source high-quality ingredients and maintain relationships with trusted suppliers.
Compliance: Ensure all kitchen practices adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Quality Control: Regularly taste and review dishes to maintain the restaurant's high culinary standards.
Budget & Cost Management: Manage kitchen budgets, monitor food costs, and optimize resources while maintaining quality.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and manage wastage effectively.
Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with management to set pricing that reflects the value of the dining experience.
Trend Awareness: Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate relevant elements into the menu.
Innovation: Experiment with new techniques and ingredients to keep the menu fresh and innovative.
Guest Engagement: Occasionally engage with guests to gather feedback and enhance their dining experience.
Dietary Preferences: Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences to ensure guest satisfaction.
Collaboration: Work with restaurant management to align kitchen operations with business strategies.
Special Events: Collaborate on special events, private dining experiences, and tasting menus.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a head chef or senior culinary role within a fine dining environment.
Expertise: Proven skills in menu design, recipe development, and high-end food presentation.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience in training and performance management.
Food Safety Knowledge: Exceptional understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Budget Management: Experience in managing kitchen budgets, food costs, and inventory control.
Culinary Trends: Familiarity with culinary trends and the ability to incorporate innovative elements into the menu.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements
