Job Description

A Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section. Because of this, a successful CDP Sauté must be very knowledgeable about his or her specialty, as well as culinary functions in general. A CDP must also be able to give orders within their section, as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the Sous Chef and Head Chef.

• The Chef de Partie's primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in their respective section of the kitchen operation/menu during lunch service
• Will focus on grilling, and sautéing foods and dishes for lunch
• Consistently cooking proteins at proper temperatures in a timely fashion is a must
• Ability to read and reiterate tickets
• Assist with daily kitchen prep work and station set-up before service and maintaining the highest quality food preparation standards
• Prepare, cook and present culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and troubleshooting any problems that may arise
• Works with Executive Sous Chef and Chef de Cuisine to maintain standards and create new dishes
• Assists the Kitchen and Restaurant teams in preparing and executing any events
• Picks garnish as needed from the JUSTIN garden and communicates product needs

Qualifications

• 2+ years fine dining culinary experience
• Serv-Safe Certified
• Culinary Degree preferred but not required
• Demonstrated strong ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to establish direction, obtain commitment and execute appropriate logistical processes
• Exceptional attention to detail, and passion about food and wine
• Must thrive in a fast-paced working environment
• Have a calm and approachable demeanor

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
