    Job Description

    A Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for all culinary dishes that are prepared in their section. Because of this, a successful CDP Sauté must be very knowledgeable about his or her specialty, as well as culinary functions in general. A CDP must also be able to give orders within their section, as well as reliably carry out orders handed down to them by the sous chef and head chef. A successful candidate will have experience in fine dining scratch kitchens such as Michelin or Forbes.

    • The Chef de Partie (Sauté) primary role is to oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in their respective section of the dinner kitchen operation/menu including proteins, sauces, vegetables
    • Will focus on hot appetizers, entrees and other hot dishes
    • Assist with daily kitchen prep work and station set-up before service and maintaining the highest quality food preparation standards
    • Prepare, cook and present culinary dishes; enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen; and troubleshooting any problems that may arise
    • Supports on prep and execution of any all culinary-related activities as they arise within our out-of-daily job norm
    • Works with Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Sous Chef to maintain standards and create new dishes
    • Assists the Kitchen and Restaurant teams in preparing and executing any events
    • Picks garnish as needed from the JUSTIN garden and communicates product needs
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years fine dining culinary experience
    • Michelin star and/or Forbes 5 star preferred
    • Exceptional attention to detail and passionate about food and wine
    • Culinary Degree recommended
    • Serv-Safe Certified
    • Demonstrated strong ability to work well under pressure
    • Ability to establish direction, obtain commitment and execute appropriate logistical processes
    • Comfortable dealing with guests and purveyors on a daily basis
    • Must thrive in a fast paced working environment
    • Have a calm and approachable demeanor
    • Superb time management and organizational skills

    Pay Range: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour. Final compensation is dependent upon skills and experience.
