Production Technician, Springdale, PA
Starting pay: Salary Non-Exempt $45,941 per year which is equivalent to $22.09 per hour
**plus a $1.50 shift differential on 2nd shift and a $2.00 shift differential on 3rd shift. **
After training is complete (Approx. 6 months) the wage will increase roughly $5,000.
Sign on bonus - $1000 after 180 days.
Shift:3 Shifts Rotating every 2 weeks(Midnight – Afternoon – Daylight)

3rd Shift 11:00pm – 7:00am
As a**Production Technician, **you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives!
This is an entry-level position where strong math skills and mechanical aptitude are used to gain a working knowledge of resin reactors and associated equipment, the chemistries and processes used at the Springdale R&D Development Center in the manufacture of resin as well as the handling both hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in bags, drums, totes, etc. and forklift operation.
Primary Responsibilities
To develop mechanical and technical skills, knowledge and experience needed to manufacture various resins using available equipment under the direct supervision of the Trainer, Senior Operator, and/or Team Leader.
The major purpose is to provide the training needed to become familiar with operations, equipment and procedures used in the Springdale R&D Development Center, to develop safety awareness and to begin gaining experience in safe work procedures in effect in the Development Center.
To assist trainer in production of resin batches.
Performs duties according to instructions given by trainer.
These duties include reading and comprehending resin log instructions, preparing the equipment with cleanup, valve positions, temperature setpoints, charging the raw materials to the appropriate vessel, initiation the reaction and monitoring pertinent parameters (temperature, pressure, etc.), performing in-process testing, completing reaction and filling out batch.
All observations are recorded on the batch log. Based on demonstrated understanding and performance on the reactor systems and resin chemistries, the Operator trainee takes on more responsibility of running batches with increasingly less supervision.
Preparing for and performing clean-up according to Development Center procedures.
Duties performed are independently carried out, usually on the initiative of the incumbent and receive cursory supervision.
These duties include: cleaning reactor vessels, supply lines, pumps, scales, batch buggies, fittings, general reactor vessel area, presses, GAFs.
Performs other duties according to interactions listed in Resin log, given by Team Leader of called for by Development Center procedure.
Duties performed are independently carried out, usually on the initiative of the incumbent and received cursory supervision.
These duties include: prepare written shift relief instructions, safely handle severely toxic raw materials during pre-assembly, transfer, charging, clean-up and neutralizing process with supervision, gain knowledge of reactor systems, their operations, various uses and capabilities through MOC process and from DC staff.
