Job Description

• Performs routine sample prep and analyses in support of product assessment and quality control on tobacco products utilizing one or more of the following instruments:

RO-TAP Sieves, Filling Capacity, QTM, Flashpoint, Oven Volatiles, Hardness, Balances, or other special purpose equipment and/or multiple wet chemistry techniques and physical testing techniques

• Documents results accurately in notebooks and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
• Performs instrument calibration, recognizes errors, identifies root causes, and applies process improvements
• Assists in updating SOP's as needed
• Provide analyses support to method validation as needed
• Adheres to highest quality standards; ensures compliance with quality system requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
• 2 – 4 years of related experience in a laboratory setting
• Authorization for employment in the United States

• Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Winston-Salem, NC are encouraged to apply.
